Product Review: OPI Nail Lacquer - Just Spotted The Lizard

I am not one for wearing nail polish on my nails.  For one, I get so annoyed if there is one chip in my polish that I have to take it off immediately.  Two, I never keep my nails long enough to make nail polish look good on them so I don't bother wearing polish on my nails (I need to keep my nails short so I don't scratch the little ones while man handling them!).  In any case, I always have my toe nails did and so I like to find awesome colors to show the adventurous side of me.

While reading another beauty blog, I read about her latest OPI haul and saw this awesome nail polish color called Just Spotted The Lizard.  It's a limited edition color from the Spider-Man Collection and it is absolutely gorgeous!  The color in the bottle is stunning - it has a duochrome effect, depending on how you look at your nails (or the bottle), the color changes on you.  It is goldish-greenish-bluish-tealish in color - it's truly beautiful!  From what I have read, this nail polish is an EXACT dupe of the very coveted and much buzzed about Chanel Peridot (limited edition) but at a fraction of the cost.  I purchased mine off of Amazon for $7.29 (w/shipping) but it retails for $8.50 in stores vs. Chanel Peridot Le Vernis $25.00.  As with most OPI polishes, the formula is nicely pigmented and I only needed to apply 2 coats to get the same opaque color as it appears in the bottle.  I included 2 pics of my nails in different lights just to show how chameleon-like this nail polish is, as well as a swatch of Chanel Peridot so you can see just how exactly alike these two polishes are.

If you like incredible duochrome polishes on your nails that make you stop and stare at your nails every couple of minutes, then this is the polish for you.  I highly recommend you pick this polish up before it flies off the shelf and pick up a back-up while you're at it!  Enjoy...
